About “The Fairly Average Cyclist”

I am “The Fairly Average Cyclist”.

I am based in Harrogate on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, within touching distance (just) of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and the Vale of York (if flat riding is your thing). I originally hail from the Lake District so I get up there to do a bit of cycling.

In short, I enjoy riding my bike. A lot. Preferably up hills.

This blog is going to be used for me to write about any goals I have, rides, climbs and product reviews. The reviews are on products I have purchased myself, unless stated otherwise.

I want to use this blog to offer independent reviews that will can help other cyclists. I will also post rides and pictures along with other cycling related things.

I started cycling in 2012 on my return from Uni. I decided I could no longer use the bikes in the gym…I needed to get out and explore the countryside! I have progressed steadily since then and undertake the odd local Sportive. I tend to ride for fun with friends or solo.

Please click the “Menu & Widget” button to find my posts and have a read.

I hope you enjoy!
